Rick, If the installation completed but you were unable to login, you can use this script to create a new user

I've no idea why this hasn't inserted the the accounts properly. The only thing I can think of that would cause this problem is the user for your MySQL database, it may not have the needed privledges to insert new data.

It means you've tried to install the system once before or pressed the Install button twice so it tried creating the tables twice.

Either wipe the database or manually remove the news tables or create a new database to use.

By default the charset should already be UTF-8

Quick question;

I am looking for a PHP newsscript, which is able to create SEO friendly URLS of the newspostings. Is your script capable to achieve this?

I already searched the features, but it's nowhere mentioned.

//edit

Nevermind, I have already found out it's supported. :)

However still trying to show my page style instead of a simple.html

Hi Chris, first I congratulate N-13 News had a very successful software.
but I have a problem setting up all the characters even though I wrote in comments made to the character issue has news.

example: Deneme yazısı türkçe karakterler ı ğ ü ş ç ö I write,
: Deneme yaz%u0131s%u0131 türkçe karakterler %u0131 %u011F ü %u015F ç ö

How do I fix it in this way seems you'll be glad to help.

I am getting a timzone function error both on admin and client side.

Admin Side
Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/New_York' for 'EST/-5.0/no DST' instead in /Library/WebServer/Documents/test/news/functions.php on line 487

I am running the news on a local server for development, but will be moving to an out of house web server when I am finished.
I have developed many sites before and never came across this error before. Any Ideas?
Thanks
