Im getting the following error upgrading

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/sites/domain.co.uk/public_html/news/mysqliclass.php on line 19

so i went for a new install on a different domain
im getting the same error message before being asked to delete the install file.

pressing the back button takes me to

finalising the installation step 3.

and i see

Table 'news30_banned' already exists




does this make sense to you ?

Which version of PHP does your server have installed? the latest version of the system requires PHP 5+.

i checked that php 5 is installed and it is installed.
reran the installion and still get the same ledgend....

It's saying the table already exists because you've already tried installing.

Either delete the tables manually from the database or delete the database and create it again.

Once you have wiped the database download this file, extract and replace your own copy of mysqliclass.php with this new one then run the installation again.
