I have been through just about every open source news script that i can find and not one of them displays an avatar. They all allow me to upload an avatar but not one of them displays it. The avatar is there in control panel but how on earth do i get it to display alongside the comment? It doesn't even show on my profile. I am tired of searching the web for news scripts, downloading them, uploading them, changing permissions, filling in config.php's, creating databases, and installing, then messing around for hours trying to get an avatar to display.
How come no news scrit can display an avatar? Is that complex?
I can go to the avatar url in my browser, so why doesn't it show?
I am just going to give up and conclude that no one can write a script that can display an avatar. This is the ninth different script i've instlled.
And i bet it takes a week before someone even checks the forum and gives an answer.

Options > Personal > Avatar url: > Paste the location of your avatar image.

Edit the template you're currently using, expand the Comments section and wherever you want the users avatar to display add the {avatar} tag.
