If you go to 'edit news' The screen shows categories [behind 'show'] If you then open story, none of the check boxes are checked ? They were in 3.5.


Inside mysql. The catID column showed 'null' in 3.5
now within 3.6 there is no catID column.
[although if you check behind 'show' the category appears to be correctly assigned.]

Ignore the 'catid' column, this hasn't been used since version 3.3, it was just never dropped until now.

To fix the categories not showing as selected when editing an article edit functions.php, line ~2141 you'll see this



Change it to



Save and the categories should show as selected.
