Shortstory/Fullstory

Currently I have figured out how to add headlines to my main page. However, I am trying to set up my actual news page to display the short story of each article while being able to select it to view the fullstory.
Also my headlines won't link to the fullstory of my topics.

If your news article has both the "Summary" & "Article" sections then it'll show the summary by default, when you click to view the comments/read more, it'll then show the article as well.

Make sure the template you're using has both {summary} & {article} in the "News" section.

Sorry, I'm very new to this.

What exactly would I change the default template that I'm using to?

The template you have is fine, all you need to do now is when posting a news article, make sure it has text in both the "Summary" & "Article" section, if it has both then by default the summary section will show, when you click to view comments/read more, the article should then show too.
