Hi Chris

Just downloaded & installed v4 for the first time, using the wysiwyg zip.

All installed & configured OK, but the ckeditor doesn't show in the add/edit articles dialogue. I've re-checked all ck files uploaded, and "Enable WYSIWYG editor?" is set to Yes.

Everything seems to work OK, but there is no editor toolbar, and no gap between "Article" and the text ... and no 'expand tool bar' arrow (as in the demo).

Is there another setting or installation routine I've missed?

Thanks. David

Can you create me an account within your news system so that I can have a look at it and see what's causing the problem?

I have the same problem - is there any known solution for this problem?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Guybrush

After a conversation with Chris (in which he showed me it worked fine for him) I checked other browsers and they were OK. I even checked Firefox (which was giving the problem) on another PC and that was OK too. I restarted Firefox, and it now works OK.

I've no idea what the problem was to start with, and I don't think Chris made any changes to my set up ... so it's complete mystery.

My apolgies for not posting to say the problem had gone.

Regards

David

Thanks for your help.

I tried all kinds of different browsers and computers. It won't work on one of it.

Maybe Chris has an idea?

Thanks!

Guybrush,

If you can give me access to the news system by creating me an account within it I'll take a look to see if I can find out what's wrong.

Hey Chris,

you could get an account, but i solved the problem by deleting the htaccess-file in the ckeditor-directory.

Does this bring any serious security problem with it?

Thanks
Guybrush

No need then, as long as it's working.
