I like so much N-13 News, and I have installed in mi pc running windows xp and 7 with xampp and it runs perfect without problems.

Ok problems began when I tried to install n13 in an internet host, I uploaded all the files with the ftp program, and when I run the installation after insert all the parameters, when the installation process realy run, it displays a lot of errors, the first one is "MySQL server has gone away", and the sql scripts shows error.

I have tried more than 6 or 7 times and in some cases only the first sql script shows "ok".

I wrote a ticket in my hosting help service and they wrote this:

If you see error message 'MySQL server has gone away', it might be that your script is not optimized and makes too many connections to the database (or your website is very active, has many users online at the same time).
You may also get his error if your script executes heavy/slow MySQL queries.

First of whole you should check if your database is well optimized and has indexes where needed. You should contact the script developers and ask assistance.

I dont know what can I do to make the instalation succesful.

When installing the script it grabs all of the sql files in the updates directory, goes through them one by one and executes each query it finds in each script. There are a lot of queries that get executed but nothing excessive. If the host is having trouble with just the installation of the script then once installed and on a live site the same problem will happen again. It may be best to go with another one, one which isn't as restrictive.
