Hi

I have uploaded and installed the script fine and I can login to the admin panel, however when I try to get it to appear on my website it does not work.

I checked the documentation and it tells me to paste the following code into my site:

<?php
include 'news/index.php';
?>

but that does not seem to do anything, the page remain blank even if a freshly generated HTML file.

What am I doing wrong?

Where on your server did you install the script to? The file you're pasting the code into, is it a .php file and is it in the directory above the directory you installed the news into?

No I'm pasting into a html file which is in the directory below the news folder:

You can see the source here: http://midgard.gaming.multiplay.co.uk/newstest.html

the newstest.html is at the root and the news directory is one above the root.

It's worth noting that I've tried another PHP news script, one that doesn't use SQL, and I get the exact same problem.

Change the file extension from .html to .php

As a side note. I used to admin for the Multiplay TF2 servers :D

Rename it to index.php, it'll still work. Your web server should be configured to look for both index.html & index.php files for the directory index.
