The news script is amazing and does everything I need appart from:

There does not seem to be any function to upload and insert images/documents into news stories.

There are a couple of php uploaders in the "tutorials" section, but they dont integrate with the news creation box...

It would be nice to have an option below the text area to upload and add an image/file to the story..

Is this possible?

Unfortunately the current version of the script doesn't have the ability to upload images but I have already added that functionality to the next version.

I presume it will keep all the existing database entries?

Are you also able to upload documents using that system?

I want to be able to write a news story and upload photos andan accompanying document etc to insert into the text as a link to download said document?!?

The next version should be finished within the next couple of weeks. As for using the same database you are correct, an upgrade script will be provided which will make all the needed changes to your existing database without losing any information, all you'll need to do is upload all the new files.
