How to display different article of different categories in different pages....

for one page I have used this code <?php $author[] = 'admin'; $template = 'Template1'; $cat[] = 'ROSE'; include 'news/index.php'; ?> this code works

but same code for another page with different $cat[]='lily';

code doesn't work... what is the problem .....
