Hi Gerrit,

Perhaps the easiest way to disable the comments would be to simply delete the comments form from the template you're using and remove the [comments]{comments}[/comments] link from the "News" section of the template.

Absolutely, that's the sole purpose of templates :-)

If you view the code of the pre-installed templates you'll see they are all built using html.
