Can you tell me a bit more about how you'd like this to work. What purpose would displaying recent comments have? would the comments be clickable and take you to the news post page the comment is assigned to?

Just something simple to display a few of the latest comments. Maybe just the name of the commenter with the link to his/her email and the comment or part of it if it's too long.
