Show only the date, without the time

Hello,

In templates > News , when I select {date} it produces (in the index page) this : 25/09/09 5:33pm (date and time)

What should I do to make it show ONLY the date (25/09/09) without the time?

Go to Options > System >

Code:

Date & time format for news: j/m/y g:ia

Change that to

j/m/y

I looked all posts at the forum, but it didn't pass my mind to check at the SYSTEM as well !!!!

Sometimes the most obvious solution escapes our eye...
