The language system has been reworked for 3.3. You can now have multiple languages and let the users choose which language they'd like the admin panel to be in when they login.

If you look in the Language directory you'll see a file called langmsg_english.php. Use this file as your base by making a copy of it then renaming it to your chosen language, example langmsg_french.php. Then edit it and begin translating.

The system will automatically detect that a new language has been added and add a new dropdown box to the admin login form which will list the different languages like so

To change all the text you see on the news/index side of the script, error messages and such edit the newslangmsg.php.
